Chancellor's Alumni Council Scholarships
The Chancellor has agreed to a matching gift program for certain gifts that meet the criteria below that are for scholarships endorsed by the following alumni affinity groups recognized as alumni affiliates: Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Council, Black Alumni Council, Chicanx Latinx Alumni Council, and the Pilipino/a/x Alumni Council.
Funding matched must be for one of the following scholarship endowments or expendable funds:
Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Council
- Asian/Pacific-Islander Alumni Council Scholarship (E2414)
- UC San Diego UJIMA Network Black History Month Scholarship Endowment (K4036)
- Madrinas and Padrinos Scholarship Endowment (K7448)
- Zenaida and Emilio dela Pena Scholarship (E7113)
The general criteria are as follows:
- The source(s) of the match will be to a maximum of $1,000,000 in total for all funds.
- The match will remain open until June 30, 2025, or until the pool is exhausted, whichever comes first.
- The match will be 1:1 (or $1 match to $1 of gift).
- Matches will be provided monthly directly to the fund in arrears of each month end.
- New outright gifts and multiyear written pledges are eligible for the match; written pledges must be paid over no more than five years. All gifts will be matched as payments are made. - Chancellor’s matching funds will be reserved for the full amount of any pledge.
