Garfin, MD, an innovative force in orthopedic surgery at UC San Diego. About the Clinic
The new orthopedic surgery clinic, housed within McGrath Family Foundation Outpatient Pavilion at UC San Diego Health’s Hillcrest Medical Campus, will stand as a tribute to Dr. Garfin’s dedication and influence. As a
leader in spinal surgery and orthopedic innovation, Dr. Garfin has set the
standard for patient-centered care and trained generations of surgeons who
continue his legacy. Located on the pavilion’s ground floor for optimal
accessibility, the clinic will provide people with a continuum of musculoskeletal
care with convenient access to physicians, imaging, surgical services and a
pharmacy — all under one roof.
The clinic will also be a training ground for one of the
largest fellowship programs in the region and the only civilian residency
training program in the county. With a focus on patient experience, the Steven
R. Garfin, MD, Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic will be a beacon of excellence, a
testament to Dr. Garfin’s impact and an inspiration for both future orthopedic
surgeons and the patients they will serve.
