You can still take part in UC San Diego’s annual Triton 5K by supporting scholarships today! Since 1996, the Triton 5K has raised more than $4 million in undergraduate scholarship support, benefiting more than 1,000 motivated and ambitious students.
The event was founded by former UC San Diego Chancellor Robert C. Dynes to rally the campus in support of undergraduate students. Most recently, Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla helped to push past the $3 million fundraising mark, growing the event to include 3,000 participants and volunteers. Even during the pandemic, the Triton 5K ran on with a virtual run and app. The Triton 5K is an important campus tradition with a legacy that will last long into the future. Now, in its 25th year, the Triton 5K continues to expand scholarships, ensuring that learning is accessible and affordable for all.
