25th Annual UC San Diego Little Grad Picnic
For the past 24 years, the Little Grad picnic has grown to host as many as 1,600 provider/caregiver divisional staff and families with their neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) graduates celebrating their growth and progress since their time as inpatients. This is not only a reunion of families that have shared one of the most difficult times in their lives, but also an opportunity for UC San Diego to provide ongoing support for recovery from this very traumatic experience.
It is a day to come together and celebrate life while enjoying fun activities and interfacing with community resources available to these families who often still require additional assistance and resources. UC San Diego speakers provide program and service updates for all present.
Why are we fundraising?
As of 2019, the sustainability of this event is completely dependent on the generous donations of staff, families, corporate and community sponsors and grants.
Impact of this event
This event helps to maintain positive relationships with families and UC San Diego. Reunions such as this support employee satisfaction and morale. This is a stress reduction path for all attendees as well as an educational pathway for our families about the organization programs and services as well as community support services. It is an amazingly fun day generally shared by our local media with our community. Your gift is critical to our ability to continue to host this event in 2020. Help us celebrate a 25th Annual Little Grad Picnic.
