Update: Triton Food Pantry Crowdsurf Re-Launch!
Thank you all again for supporting the Triton Food Pantry in our mission to combat food insecurity at UC San Diego. In the last several weeks, we have served hundreds of students because of your generosity. We are very excited to announce the re-launch of our Crowdsurf project for the month of December, with the goal of raising $1,000. These funds would be used to launch a pilot program to offer free seasonal produce boxes from local farmers to students in need. Please consider supporting our efforts to fight hunger and malnutrition by giving to the Triton Food Pantry!

As the cost of higher education continues to rise, many UC San Diego students skip meals in order to save money, greatly impacting their health and success on campus.
In response to this issue, the Associated Students at UC San Diego created the Triton Food Pantry in February 2015. The mission of the Triton Food Pantry is to provide a service to students in need of food, and ensure that every student has enough energy to get through the day. We are proud to serve almost 200 students per week with a variety of dry goods such as soups, pastas, and grains.
This year, the Food Pantry would like to begin offering fresh produce and other non perishable items. While these items are more expensive, we believe that every student deserves access to nutritious food.
To continue combating food insecurity and malnutrition on campus, we need your help. $7,500 would cover the cost of non-perishable goods for the entire year, funding over 30,000 meals. Covering the cost of non-perishable food would allow funds from other sources to be spent on produce and dairy products, providing more nutritious options for students. Please support student wellness and success at UC San Diego by giving to the Triton Food Pantry!
