Support Healthy Native Nation
Join Us in Support of Native Health & Wellness
Healthy Native Nation (HNN) aims to prevent all alcohol-related birth defects, and to support families already affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). We are working to reduce prenatal alcohol consumption among Native American women in San Diego County. We want to empower Native American women to make healthy choices regarding alcohol when they are pregnant or when they may become pregnant.
We’ll Empower Women & Future Generations
Our campaign is a call to action: We want every baby in this nation to be a healthy baby! We are the first Tribal National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) affiliate! We are housed on the reservation, serving multiple Tribes in San Diego County. Our program is growing but operates with severely limited funding. With your help, we are raising funds to:
Educate women and families about the dangers of alcohol during pregnancy;
Train professionals in all aspects of FASD diagnosis, prevention and support;
Establish a local resource center to connect individuals with information and services; and
Improve prevention strategies and the delivery of services through research.
Pregnancy is Sacred: We Need Everyone to Cradle Support
Alcohol is an entirely preventable cause of birth defects. We all have responsibility to give the best possible start to a baby’s life. Will you help us create a healthy native nation?
We want every baby to have the best possible chance. Help us empower women to make informed choices in pregnancy that are best for them and their babies. Help us make our future generations strong and healthy by supporting us now!
