Global Policy and Strategy (GPS)
Our Goal: Help us reach 100 donors and unlock a $5,000 gift from Dean Caroline Freund to support student success!
At the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS), we prepare future leaders who work for the global good. Readying our students to tackle many of the salient policy challenges of our time starts with cultivating a wider worldview – and one of the best ways to expand that worldview is through summer internships.
In July, we welcomed Dean Freund, who has spent much of her career focused on academic research and policy in international economics. Reflecting on the importance of her own internships during graduate school, she believes every student who wants to pursue an internship should have the means to do so. To demonstrate her support, she has pledged to unlock a $5,000 gift once we reach our goal of 100 donors to the GPS Summer Internship Fund.
An essential component to the GPS educational experience, internships provide students with the opportunity to:
- Expand their professional network
- Enhance their resume
- Apply what they are learning in the classroom to real-world experiences
- Identify areas of strength, pinpoint opportunities for growth and build confidence
- Pave the way for future employment and long-term success
Please help us reach our goal of 100 donors by giving today. Internships are often unpaid, so your gift matters. No gift is too small, and together we can make a difference in empowering passionate young leaders on their educational journey at GPS.
